About Us
Urgent Wellness is a healthcare provider that launched in 2017 after winning the George Washington University social enterprise competition. Our clinics, specifically located in low-income housing communities, position us to address health challenges in the District of Columbia.

Our mission is to improve health outcomes and patient experience, while lowering health care costs and decreasing health disparities for DC Medicaid Recipients.
Our Strategy
Our holistic approach to medical care integrates patient-centered outreach and wrap-around gap care into our comprehensive services. This ensures that our patients receive care that extends beyond the walls of the clinic into their homes and community.

Our Approach to Care:
Urgent Wellness offers targeted chronic disease management and primary care for vulnerable communities, particularly low-income and homeless individuals. Our community-based clinics directly address barriers to healthcare access. Our doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, and health navigators collaborate to support patients. Our specialized health navigators facilitate connections with primary care providers, aid in lifestyle changes, and support treatment plan, medication, and appointment adherence.
